Forage to Feast Riverside
An edible adventure that sees a collaboration between renowned forager and environmental educator Diego Bonetto and stylist, designer, foodie and weed convert Marnee Fox.
Building on Diego's much-loved weed foraging workshops, the pair are bringing the food found on the foraging tour to the table.
The day begins with a wander along the Cooks River highlighting the abundance of native and non native edibles to be found underfoot.
With our new found eyes for the ingredients around us we will then make our way to the long table beneath the magical poplar trees for a delicious mini degustation utilising many of the species we’ve just discussed.
Through this experience, you will not only learn how to identify the food growing in your own backyard, Marnee will teach you how to use these edible plants in delicious recipes and create a magazine-worthy presentation that will wow your guests at your next dinner party.
Included in this exciting 3,5-hour edible adventure you will:
• Learn to positively identify up to 15 common edible plants found in the local area
• How they have been used for food, craft and natural remedies
• Hear the old curious and fun stories from all over the world
• Free copy of Diego's Foragers Guide, which will help you identify these plants in your own backyard
• A light degustation at our beautifully styled long table of delicious foods utilising some of the plants found on your walk
• Learn how you can recreate these recipes and style a dinner party for yourself
• Receive PDFs of all the recipes with added notes emailed straight to your inbox
Marnee will also share her insights into where to source items to style your table and how to utilise foraged plants to create the perfect dinner party setting with up-cycled finds and creative table decor.
This is a leave-no-trace event fostering respect and appreciation for what nature offers us.

Location: Meet at Tempe Station Carpark,
Off Richardson Crescent, Tempe.
This event caters to a limited number of guests so the best experience is assured.
Menu details will be finalised closer to the event due to the nature of wild food reliability.
Please note this event is a vegetarian feast and that some items on the menu do contain eggs, dairy and nuts (not peanuts).

About your hosts
Diego is an edible weeds advocate based in Sydney, most famous for his offering of urban foraging workshops. Building on the knowledge acquired while growing up on a farm in Italy, Diego introduce people to the ever-present food and medicine plants that surround us. He collaborates extensively with chefs, herbalists, environmentalists and cultural workers promoting new understanding of what the environment has to offer. You see weed, Diego sees food.
Diego has received a substantial amount of media including a Gardening Australia appearance, articles on Marie Claire, GQ Australia, SMH, and segments on ABC and SBS.
Marnee Fox is a Sydney based creative working as an interior design consultant and stylist. Marnee’s extensive and varied background spanning art, fashion and hospitality enables her to merge disciplines and create layered experiences utilising space, aesthetics, taste and environment.
Marnee’s foodie skill set was honed both here and overseas, through years of running kitchens, catering for events and hosting magical dinner parties which she confesses is her idea of heaven.

Cancellation policy: This is an all-weather event and we will cancel only in the case of heavy rain or strong wind, in which case we would issue a full refund or offer an alternative date for your bookings.
No Refund Policy: Due to the nature of the event we will not issue any refunds for unused tickets sold. Please make sure you are available to attend before you finalise your booking. If by any unforeseen circumstances you can no longer participate you can pass the booking onto someone else and let them know we will welcome them as much as we would welcome you.
